Readynas 102 and Western Digital WD20EARS

Hi guys...

i'm going to purchase a Readynas 102 and i want to install my 2X 2TB WD WD20EARS 64MB cache SATAII Caviar Green on it. Before, those disks were installed on my old Readynas duo.

Anybody knows if they are compatible?

Netgear say that you must install only disks in the compatibility list, but is it so restrictive?

Thnks a lot..

They will almost certainly deny support if you use the WD20EARS.

If that is acceptable to you, you can try them. It is likely they would work, at least in jbod mode. Perhaps a better option is to get new disks for the RN102, and use the duo for backup.

As you perhaps know, you can't migrate the disks, the file system and OS are not compatible.
