ReadyNAS 102 server certificate / Google Chrome.

I am hosting a small website on my NAS which requires HTTPS access. This is set up correctly in System>Settings>Services>HTTPS.

Are the instructions at this URL still valid?

I have folllowed them and Chrome still tells me that the site certificate is not secure and the certificate is invalid.

  • The process is still valid. However, this won't make a "random" certifcate (e.g some self-signed or whatever) trusted and valid anymore. You need a certificate signed by a trusted CA, issued exactly for the DNS domain you have to use when accessing the system.
