ReadyNas 102 what is the maximun disk drive size it can support when running Firmware 6.10.3
Hi, I have a Readynas 102 running Firmware 6.10.3 presently with 2 6tb Nas drives in in Raid 0. I would like to replace them with a pair of 12tb Nas drives also in Raid 0 (I have a second Nas box mirroring the 102) Will the Readynas 102 support 12tb drives? I want to double my nas storage space to 24tb. If this will work after the 1st upgrade I will take the 6tb drives plus 2 more 6tb & put then into the other nas box so they will both be 24tb

There is no known ceiling on disk size in OS-6 ReadyNAS, and there are 16 TB drives on the HCL for the RN102.
Since you are going for a 6 TB size, then I would suggest avoiding the WD60EFAX as it is an SMR drive. While that might not matter as much for RAID-0 as it does for RAID-1 or RAID-5, I still would recommend avoiding SMR drives.
FWIW, my own experience with the WD60EFRX hasn't been as good as other WD Red (plus) drives. I purchased six of them since they were launched in 2014, five have failed. My other Reds have much better track records. So you might consider Ironwolf for that particular size. Or go with 8 TB instead.
As an aside, I'm not keen on RAID-0 myself, since if any drive fails the entire volume is lost. When I don't use RAID redundancy I use jbod with multiple volumes instead.
Hi, You Actually misread that post a little. I have 2 6TB already in there for a couple of years now & want to update them to a pair of 12TB drives giving 24tb in Raid 0 was using Raid 0 for faster through put then JBOD. Also not worried a drive failure as I have Another NAS in Mirrored Sync as backup for each other
