ReadyNAS 222 & 224 Release Date Approaching?
Hello everybody,
The ReadyNAS 202/204 was released in Jan. 2015, while the 212/214 in Oct. 2015.
As I'm ready to upgrade from an Ultra 4 (2010), I'm wondering if there are any rumors of a...

The RN212 and RN214 were the newest desktop ReadyNAS models until we announced the high-end business models the RN526X and RN626X at the start of the month.
If the ReadyNAS Ultra 4 is still working fine the RN214 is a great choice. You can use backup jobs to copy your data across. See the ReadyNAS Backup FAQ
Once you've copied the data across you may wish to reverse the backup jobs and use the Ultra 4 to backup the RN214. After all, no important data should be stored on just the one device.
If the Ultra 4 is dead, then the RN314 would be a better option as our guide for this situation requires using an x86 OS6 ReadyNAS (the RN314 is x86, but the RN214 is ARM). See Migrating disks from RAIDiator 4.2 to Readynas OS 6 (x86)

Thanks for the input regarding the migration!
In any case, the 314 is a 3 year old product, and my Ultra 4 is working fine, so I'll wait for a next-gen x86 that can handle Plex a little better.
Any idea if one might come this fall or be announced at CES?

You may speculate as to what we may/may not do in the future.
I can talk about past history and our current excellent range of ReadyNAS units but as for what the future may hold I can neither confirm nor deny.
