    Hello haddendue,

It does appear that you are looking to a 10GB RJ45 Network Card (dual or quad) that would work with Readynas 4200v2. Unfortunately there is list of network card we can offer however we can wait for any recommendations from community member that might tried or encountered the concern. You may also check this thread which could provide additional information about the concern.

The Netgear part numbers for the add-on cards were:

      • RN12T2SFP (dual SFP+)
      • RN12T2CX4 (dual CX-4)

Best of luck trying to find one.  Since the 4200 is an OEM SuperMicro system and Netgear doesn't sell 10GBE network cards generally, I took a look at some SuperMicro ones and found the Supermicro AOC-STGN-i2S looks like the Netgear SFP+ version and the AOC-STG-i2 like the CX-4 one.  The AOC-STG-i2T is a 10GBaseT version that uses the same Intel X540 design, but Netgear never offered a similar version.  There are lots of other Intel X540 based cards you could try, too.

Note that I have never seen anything but pictures of the cards in question, so this is not a definitive identification.

Whether, as is the case with the motherboard, the OS looks for Netgear-specific firmware on the card is another potential issue, though.

It could be worth the $100 or so you can get one on eBay for to find out.  Please let us know your results if you do.
