ReadyNAS 516 LMS and lame for transcoding
Hi, i migrated my music from my ReadyNAS Pro to my new and very good ReadyNAS 516. On the Pro and on the 516 i use mostly only the LMS, and one of my players is a SLIMP3, which can only play MP3. ...

Hi BrianL,
Logitech Media Server is a 'official' App from Netgear for OS6.
LMS is a combination of Serversoftware on the ReadyNAS and Hardwareplayer which relay on the Serversoftware.
So PLEX is no possibility.

No it's not.
It's distributed by Netgear, but is a third-party app - in this case authored by super_poussin As http://apps.readynas.com/pages/?page_id=9 says, "NOTE: NETGEAR does not warrant any third-party app."
Netgear can reach out to him, though I suggest that you also PM him in this forum.

You could try lms_1.0.9_all.deb which he has just put in his Dropbox: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Current-NETGEAR-and-Partners/Addons-available-For-R6/td-p/842756

When you go to Apps in the web admin page you should see an Upload button, you can click on that and browse for where you downloaded the app to etc.
