ReadyNAS Duo got stuck starting
Hello
I have a ReadyNAS Duo has been working fine until yesterday when I was accessing it thru web interface (via Raidar 4.3.8), I got some warning messages due to Power failures in the house, but at the time the ReadyNAS was working fine, I read the logs and deleted it.
Some time later access was lost to the ReadyNAS and I couldnt reach it from http or via mapped folders in windows.
I restarted the RaedyNAS and it started to act as it was synching the two discs in the RAID 1 that i set it up with, hence flashing blue LED Power button and small yellow blinking led.
Now it got stuck in this state for more than 24h, still flashng blue led (slow flashing) and no access, besides it comes up in the RAIDar with a blue Icon to the left (I Think I read it means that a "lenghty background task is executing).
I know the unit is old, but I need the data on the discs.
1 - Any help to 1 get it working again, or if not possible,
2- how to move the data to new NAS
cheers
Mikael

2- how to move the data to new NASOne option is to get R-linux for Window (free)
Then power down the NAS and connect disk 1 to the PC using a usb adapter or dock. Then see what R-linux finds.
If it doesn't find anything, then try switching to disk 2.
Once you get the data off, you can sort out how to get the NAS working again.
