ReadyNAS Duo IP address
Can't connect to new router. IP address seems to be 192.168.1.12. Is this static? Can I make it dynamic?

Then you must have set up the Duo to use a static address.
The simplest fix is to reset the router's IP range to 192.168.1.x. That will give you access back. You can also do an OS reinstall on the Duo (being careful not to do a factory default, which will destroy data). The OS reinstall would also reset your admin password. If you need to use the OS reinstall method for some reason, let us know what firmware your Duo is running (RAIDar will tell you). https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads#raidar
IMO the best approach to manage IP addresses is to leave the clients using DHCP, and assign addresses in the router. Almost all routers have that feature, and it ensures that you won't lose access when you change to a different router. It also is easier to manage addresses if you are doing that from one interface.

I didn't want to disturb the router. I connected the ReadyNAS directly to my laptop using the ethernet port with a fixed IP setting of the NAS, 192.168.1.12. RAIDer now works but I can't get 192.168.1.12/admin tab to connect from my Chrome browser. I tried turning off all Windows firewalls and I exempted the NAS IP from security scans from Sophos, no change. Any other ideas?

RAIDar should have worked before, since it uses ethernet broadcast (and not IP) to find the NAS.
You need to set the laptop to use a compatible IP address. For instance, temporarily set it to use 192.168.1.10, with a subnet address of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway address of 192.168.1.1.
Or change the plan, and use 192.168.0.x in the router (which you can make permanent if you like).
