You can remove the drive you added and test it on a PC to confirm if it really is a dead drive. Also, replacing it with the 2nd drive will also confirm if the NAS has the issue.
If the 2nd drive was successfully added then there might be an issue with the 1st drive.

Hi Marc - thanks for the reply. I just took out all the disks and insert the new 3TB disk in. It seems the system is successfully installing in the disk, which means the disk wasnt broken.
But how do I go on after this? Will this 3TB disk be able to shrink into 1TB again?
