What firmware is on the NV+?
Did you look for SMART errors on the disks and also packet errors on the NIC card?

Hi
Ive turned off the wifi connection so its definately transfering via ethernet.
Firmware is RAIDiator 4.1.14
How do I check for SMART errors? Complete newbie at this NAS stuff.

You look in the NAS admin UI - click on "status", then "health". There's a "smart+" button next to each drive, which will generate a pop-up when you click on it.

Or from the logs, check reallocated sector, pending error and ATA error if you want to see if disks are still healthy.
