readynas os 6.2 Device Communication Error
I'm already out of my depth here. The ReadyNAS has been discovered, but I can't get past this - Readycloud temporarily lost connection with your storage system. I've turned everything off and on ...

Go to System > Network and check the settings for your adapter. If it is set to static make sure the DNS server addresses have been specified. You could try adding an additional one e.g. 8.8.8.8

That's all news to me.
Could you please point me in the direction of where I can find how to do that?
Many thanks.

Is that on the page with Links / Routes?
If so, I can see IP address etc but I don't know how to determine what's static etc.
The manual doesn't seem to mention any of this...

Yes. Click on the settings wheel next to the adapter image. Then click IPv4. If "configure" says "using dhcp" then you are using an automatic address (which is the default, and almost certainly what you are using).
There is a big "+" next to DNS Servers - you can click that and add 8.8.8.8.
8.8.8.8 is a DNS server run by Google.

Thanks for such clear instruction.
I've done that and when I go back to readycloud, on the home and manage pages, it says i have no registered / shared devices.
On the ReadyCLOUD Discover page, when I click Manage (where it used to say set up) which takes me to the NetGEAR ReadyNAS Admin Page > System > Device > Overview where it looks fine to me, and I can see the folders on the Shares tab.
In My NetGEAR / My Products it looks all ok.
How do i tie it together with the readyCLOUD Home which is how it looks to appear in the youtube video demo?
