ReadyNAS Pro 4 - Stuck in "booting" - Cannot enter boot mode
I was watching a movie last night that was stored on the NAS, when it seemingly crashed. Switched it off, then attempted to power back on to find it hangs on "booting".
Attempted to enter the boot menu to try and run a repair or memory test, but it would not allow me to. No matter how long I held the button in on the back for.
Tried leaving it on overnight to see if it would get past the "booting" screen, to no avail.
Only thing left to try is taking out the drives and attempting another boot.
I tried to follow the instructions outlined HERE to try fix it. But the USB Recovery tool seemingly isn't compatible with Windows 10.
Any help would be appreciated. Is there anything else I can do to resurrect it, or is it DOA?
I checked the drive using seatools. It is indeed fried. Bought a replacement, it's now all sync'd and back up and running. Thank you for the assistance.

It could be the power supply (which can be replaced) or the disks.
Try powering down, and removing the disks (labeling by slot as you take them out). Then power up the NAS and see if you get a "no disks" status on the LCD display.
I do indeed receive the no disk status. So i’m guessing it’s the disks that are dead?

Does the data shown in RAIDar look right (model number and OS version)?
The drive(s) is (are) not necessarily dead, but at least one likely has a problem that's preventing booting. Do you have the capability of testing the drives by hooking each up to a PC and using vendor's tools? If you can pinpoint the bad one (and it is just one, which seems likely due to the circumstances), then you may be able to boot up with just the other three.
There is still a chance the issue is with the chassis, probably the SATA subsystem. To check if it's that, you can install just a spare drive (not part of your existing volume or containing anything you care about) and see if the NAS can create a volume on it. If it can, then power down afterward and move the drive to the next bay and re-boot, repeating for the other bays. Note that this is just a test to help determine the next steps. You shouldn't try to put the original drives back in and boot until we figure out those steps so no additional issues are created.
Are you still running OS4.2.x or did you update to OS6. Some steps beyond this will differ depending on which it is.

Unfortunately, that was the worst thing you could have done. Many who are used to Windows lock-ups make that mistake, If you ever find yourself in this situation, first try to go into the admin GUI or use RAIDar to download the logs.
But having already re-booted, follow the instructions that StephenB has given you and we can see if we can get you back up and running. It is highly unlikely that USB recovery is the direction you should be going. And in some cases, that can actually make things worse.
