Hi guys,
I've actually been a readynas user since before the netgear acquisition with a 4 disk drive bay (that died a long time ago). I'm certain i'm out of warranty, but yeah i'll try to replace the psu and then maybe update the whole nas. If I do the migration will it just be some metadata changes or will it have to rewrite all the stripes?

If you have a spare ATX supply lying around, or can "borrow" one from a PC, you can use that externally to verify it's the PSU before replacing or just to power it while recovering the data.
