Hi all, today I just installed the CPU E7600 in the system. Now just need to find some RAM (4GB) next upgrade.

Hi,
If you check the attached pic, i have more or less the same setup.
The pic is under load so it's a bit higher than normal.
Second is that i have a bit higher ambient temperature. Around 22-23 degrees celsius.
Forgot to mention that its an Q6600 that have an higher temp from start.. 105W vs 95W

CPU temp is notoriously mis-reported, especially at lower tmperatures. It's an Intel issue, not a Netgear one. I have seen indications that the NAS may have a low temperature threshold, below which never gets reported because it's just so unrelaiable (and well below any danger point).

There are posts here where Netgear said the low readings were clamped. It sounded like that might depend on the CPU family (atom processors might be treated differently from others).
