RN 104 very slow - 15 MBit/s

Hi,

my read and write speed on the RN104 is very slow, around 15 Mbit/s. Well the hdds are encrypted which will lead to a high CPU usage but neverthless it should be faster.

https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/READYNAS_OS_6_SM_EN.pdf

on page 244  a graph shows the number of read and write operations per second. I cant find  that graph in my readynas os  6.10.5   dashboard. have activate some sort of advanced mode?

I also disabled now  SMB3 encryption and also  the checksum to increase the  speed . Is there anything else I can do like stated in that old document below. (the options are not longer available in os 6)

This graphs are only available in x86 ReadyNAS (RN312 or better).

How are you measuring this?  Is the client connecting over gigabit ethernet, or something else?

I have Gigabit ethernet in my apartment and that’s the speed the copy manager from Win10 shows. Sometimes it even drops below 10 MBit/s

So the win10 system is not using wifi?

I've seen some posts here that say using disk encryption in the RN104 will cut the throughput in half, but it looks like you are fetting less than that.  What disks are you using?
