RN 424 - Excessive space consumed by Snapshots

On the Shares tab, right-click on the gear icon of a share that has snapshots you want to delete and select Recover. Then right-click on the snapshot you want to remove and select Delete. If no snapshots are showing up, then you'll need to go in via SSH and delete them (with more instructions from here). Note that it make take a little time for the NAS to recover the freed space.
If you have a lot of "file churn" on your NAS, and especially if you also have defrag turned on, then that can lead to excessive space used for snapshots. The default "smart" snapshots can also be an issue, as they retain monthly snapshots forever. Going to custom snapshots and specifying a retention time can help a lot.
my snapshots are not showing up in the GUI. Your post did not list the way to force it via SSH. Can you post those? Thanks.
Sometimes, this will work:
touch /.force_snapshots_upgrade systemctl restart readynasd
