I've never seen the insides of an RN3138. I seriously doubt Netgear will sell a replacement supply, since they don't sell parts for anything else. I believe the chassis is manufacturered by Chenbro, but the power supply (at least from the external view) does not appear to be standard Chenbro. It looks like it could be a standard Mini ITX, but check to see if there is any marking on it that's not Netgear's.

I'll probably play it safe and try sourcing a new one from Australia. Putting in a new PSU is no guarantee that I'll end up with a working device and the time delay + non-access to data, is not worth the risk.

If you attach a photo of the insides clearly showing the power supply and its connection to the motherboard, I would have an easier time trying to identify it. If there is any kind of lable on it, make sure you get a clear photo of that, too.

Thanks for the offer, but we've decided to play safe and go for a new unit. and do a disk transfer.
Will keep the old one for a followup on possible warranty or spare parts
