RN314 Front Panel - Null ffffffff880fa4cf

Hi, all.  I've got a RN314 that's started showing "(null)+ffffffff880fa4cf" on the front panel.

Currently running 6.10.1.

The logs aren't showing any errors or warning, status on everything looks good - I can't find anything in the web UI that looks out of the ordinary.

File shares and Plex server on it are behaving normally.  Everything on  it seems perfectly normal, other than the front panel display weirdness.

I have not rebooted it yet - figured I'd ask here first, since I'm kind of afraid that it won't come back up.

Anyone have any idea what might actually be going on with this thing?

  • Pull a fresh log-gather from the cluster ("System" > "Logs" > "Download Logs") and look for the files there.

  • I've encountered this before. It's a benign IPv6 glitch, I think. A simple reboot has always corrected the issue for me in the past.

If your home network doesn't use ipv6, then you could just disable it on the NAS.

Huh. Well, now I don't know what to think. When I came across this before, I recall being told it was down to IPv6.

At any rate, did a reboot solve it?
