RND4210
I am trying to update the firmware from 6.10.4 to 6.10.7. When I try to check for updates, it starts to download and then says "An unknown error occurred". When I download ReadyNASOS-6.10.7-arm.img and try to install firmware, it seems to go through the process of uploading and then nothing happens. I tried to reboot the OS and it came up with an error that is hard to read--"Could not extract". Not sure what to do and would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

What NAS do you actually have? An RND4210 is an NV+ and doesn't run OS6.
- RonstoppableAspirantRN10400 is the model number on the back of the ReadyNAS. “MyNetgear” site says that I have a ReadyNAS NV+ 2x 1 TB RND4210

OK, so you have a ReadyNAS 104, so that is the correct version of the firmware for that model. I've seen that "unknown error" come up once in a while, but the update always seems to work upon re-boot. As for the "unable to extract", did you extract the .img file from the .zip before you tried to load it to the NAS? I think you did, since you mentioned the .img file, but just checking. Another possibility, then, is that your OS partition (not your data partition) is overly full. Have you seen any warning to that effect in the logs?
