RNDP600 Community HCL hardrive support?

I have an RNDP600 Readynas Pro Pioneer. It's upgraded to OS6 and I will use it as backup server that will be turned off most of the time.

I need to buy some new hard drives but the HCL is not maintained for this NAS longer.

 

Can I just buy any NAS HD e.g. seagate Ironwolf or is it anything I need to worry about?

 

The device is out of support anyway.

    Seagate Ironwolf and WD Red Plus are both good options.  Don't use the normal WD Red - those are SMR drives, and not well suited to BTRFS.
