Rsync over Remote SSH backup

Hello,

I have RN104 NAS working great.

I had configured a Rsync over Remote SSH backup some month ago. The remote server is Debian machine and the "Test Connection" sais it is OK.

Now, I notice that the NAS is not doing the backups, it just connect but don't send any files, this is the log in the destination side:

Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer sshd[46293]: Accepted publickey for root from 192.168.0.X port 41232 ssh2: RSA SHA256:iqBGwMm/Yt0VBIiBaZttUl61Ap+CESI0pFkTp+XXXX
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer sshd[46293]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session opened for user root(uid=0) by (uid=0)
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer systemd-logind[399]: New session 292 of user root.
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer sshd[46293]: Received disconnect from 192.168.0.X port 41232:11: disconnected by user
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer sshd[46293]: Disconnected from user root 192.168.0.X port 41232
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer sshd[46293]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session closed for user root
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer systemd-logind[399]: Session 292 logged out. Waiting for processes to exit.
Dec 23 22:14:10 DestServer systemd-logind[399]: Removed session 292.

And in the NAS side this is the result:

But the new files in the Vol1 are not send to the remote server.

Is it possible to get entire rsync command to do some troubleshooting?

Anyone could help with this?

Kind regards.

  • Are you are backing up the full data volume in one backup job?

If you are, then go into the advanced settings in the backup job.  Check the box next to "Multiple File Systems".  That should solve the problem.
