SLOW syncing when adding new volume

I can't stress enough how much faster syncing goes when you turn off services (system/settings/services) you don't need (make sure you leave HTTP and/or HTTPS on!)

  • I'm just saying that I wish I knew to disable apps when addiing a drive to speed up syncing.  This is a _HUGE_ time-saver.

    Hello JordanThompson,

When the NAS is synching or doing a resync, it reads the entire partition that takes a while especially when you have a NAS that has weaker processor like ReadyNAS 100 series. Services that are enabled even when no being used also adds up like for example, AntiVirus. But you should still be able to use the NAS and access files while it's doing the resync.

    Regards,
