STORA drives
I'm planning to upgrade from STORA to ReadyNAS. I'm contemplating re-using the drive from the STORA. Has anyone done this successfully? If so, how did you get the data from the STORA to the R-NAS? ...

Kidbrother, there are three current models and one recently discontinued with the number 4000 in their model number. The first three or four letters are the key to which specific model you are talking about. They all start with RND for ReadyNAS desktop. The RND4000 v1 is the original NV+ (v1) and has been discontinued (some are still in the retail chain) and has been replaced by the RND4000 (v2) which is significantly different. The RNDU4000 is the Ultra 4, the RNDP4000 is the Pro 4. (In between those two is the Ultra 4+ with the model number RNDP400U.)
The 4000 simply means it is a four bay unit and sold diskless.
All are good units, the RNDU4000 and RNDP4000 are more flexible and have better features than the RND4000, but are also more expensive.
