Does anybody here have experience with Toshiba's MD-series HDDs? Currently they seem to give the best TB/price value, but re they any good? And will they work in my Ultra 4? The models I am ...

Some users have found higher capacity disks than 4TB work for them, but there are support implications for going off the compatibility list.
There are also expansion limitations of OS4 to be aware of.
1. You cannot expand by more than 8TB. So if your volume capacity was 2.7TB when you last did a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) you cannot expand past 10.7TB.
2. You cannot expand past 16TB. To get a larger volume you need to do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) with the disks in place.
