Unable to access Admin Page - Device Offline

The tech support code should have been sent back to support - it allows them to access the ReadyNAS remotely. Do you know if they did that? Though they won't support second hand units, so it is a bit surpising that they took the call.

I'm assuming here you have an NV+ v1.
After the OS reinstall, the admin password should be netgear1. If the NAS was very old, it could be infrant1 - so try them both.
You can also try mounting the C volume of the NAS via SMB - though the OS reinstall might have interfered with that, since that feature normally isn't allowed with the default admin password.
The procedure would be to run cmd, and then enter
net use * /delete
net use t: \\nas-ip-address\C /user:admin nas-admin-password
using the real IP address and admin password of course. Probably try all three admin passwords (the original one before the reset, netgear1 and password).
When tech support mode is enabled, it is possible to telnet into the box. Are you familar/comfortable with ssh commands?

No the person was extremely unhelpful they kept on about the warranty issue which has expired which knew. They then put it into tech mode and then just left me to it, telling me to come here.

From RAIDar I am able to see most of the data which has allowed to back it up. However, there several directories that I do not have permission to access.

Yes basic commands. I assume that the login will be admin and password? I'll give that a go.
You say telent but then ask about SSH so I'll try both.
