Users can access each others shares ?
I created 2 new users
But logged in as any of them, they can access each others share.
How can I avoid that ?

You could setup private home shares. That way only the user and the admin could see the home share for the user.
Private shares work, but are a bit more difficult to backup/restore.
Another possibility is to set the network permissions to the shares so only the user can access them. That's not quite as easy to set up (and the main folder itself is not concealed, just the files and folders within it). Basically you turn off anonymous access, and set the share to be owned by the desired user. Then only allow that user to access it via the network access setting for the share.
Is it just me or does this OS (6.5.1) convluauted to use.
All of the this account, folder, permissions stuff could be ALOT easier.
Making anything work seems like rocket science.
Very dissappointing. Should have just built a Server 2012 machine....too late now
- 6.5.1 didn't bring any change in the way you assign permissions.
How would you suggest that the interface should be?
Currently, you need to;
1) create your two users (tab users)
2) create your shares (tab shares)
3) assign those two users the appropriate condition on each share (settings of share, permissions tab)
I don't see how this is more difficult than building a Windows Server ;)
