...and sometimes has a tedious repetitive ticking...
The 'ticking' really annoys me. My ears perk up and I feel doom coming on when I hear a drive making an unusual noise. Reading the reviews here it appears it is normal for this drive. I guess I'll get used to it.
The ticking is pretty quiet if your computer is on the floor and away from your ear (still ticking).
