Sorry, I am a bit confused on what you are saying. Normally you install the sparc add-on from here: http://www.readynas.com/?p=4203 Then you access the NAS using a tool like putty, logging in as "root" and using the NAS admin.

Perhaps try deleting the log files via frontview, and see if that helps?
