Here's a list of the NetGear desktop ReadyNAS models (note for e.g. RND4000 if you replace the three zeros e.g. to get RND4250 you will get the RND4000 but with 2x500GB drives installed, where an appendix e.g. -100 is not shown in the list you can assume it is currently -100)

The RND2000 v2 is not a mislabelling but is a bit confusing. It would represent a small change in the hardware of the product. As model number was kept the same, the change(s) must have been pretty minor.
