1080p MKV & AirVideo Streaming on Readynas Ultra
Hi, Before buying a new NAS, I need to know if streaming 1080p mkv video file to an iPhone4/iPAd2, works ok on a Readynas Ultra ? Is the nas powerfull enough ? Thanks. Teryon.
Just to clarify - Transcoding is needed if the iPhone/iPad doesn't support the codecs (not the MKV itself, but the compressed media in it). Other reasons for transcoding are if the WiFi network can't support the bitrate, or if the playback device doesn't support the resolution.
