thanks to those who read this but i have now fixed the problem - it appears that the problem must have been because CP could not access the SAB downloaded files to move them.
Having learnt how to change this - chmod -R 777 /c/media/movies it all appears to be working now :D . Happy to elaborate if anybody else out there is having the same problem.
