Yes I noticed that when I stopped ddclient and started it again, I got an error message about trying to update with the same IP and they called it "abusive". Seems like doing a temporary change to a fake ip and then back again may be the only way, though they might required a 300 or 600 second waiting period between those changes. Not sure.
