Yes, finally got it to work again. I once again reinstalled everything from beginning. All files were files uploaded to the NAS without problem, but then sync was only working one-way (from NAS to other devices, not from other devices from NAS).
After some playing around with file permissions on the share it is now syncing both ways. Phew!
