Hi -
I had the same problem and I finally figured out how to get it working. First let me state how I have things set up. I have 2 shares defined, both allowing CIFS and FTP access. I configured FTP access = user.
After installing ReadyNAS Remote, I then added a user. Based on my testing a user has to be added in 2 places. The first is in the Users under the Security tab and the second place is when you go into the Manage ReadyNAS Remote tab. For convenience I defined both usernames and passwords the same.
While in the Manage ReadyNAS Remote tab, click on the Advaced Settings on the lower left corner. When you see the new screen you will notice that by default Enable Encryption is enabled. Uncheck this option and apply. I think this should resolve your issue. Once I did this I was able to successfully see all my shares and files.
Hope this works for you.
