Getting my RND2120 V1 working on windows 10
Hi all, I have recently bought a ReadyNAS Duo RND2120 second hand off a lady who had it in her basement, in the box, since she bought it in 2011. The first thing I did when I got home was to rese...

What firmware is the Duo running?
Are you getting this error when you enter \\nas-ip-address into the file explorer address bar?
You do need to make sure the SMB v1 client is enabled in your Windows PC. Enter "turn windows features on or off" in the windows search bar, and then open the control panel app. Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support and expand it. Make sure the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client is checked.

I went into the "turn windows features on or off" and checked the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client. Now when I trype the IPaddress directly into the file explorer address bar, it works!!
I do however have some difficulties installing the correct firmware.
I have downloaded the ReadyNAS OS 6.9.2 (arm) from netgear.com and tried to mount it to a virtual dirve with PowerISO. Unfortunetly I get an error mesasge from PowerISO stating that C:\User\....\ReadyNASOS-6.9.2-arm.img fileformat is invalid or unsupported.
How do I solve this?
Thank you,

OS 6 firmware won't work on a duo, so you are trying to install firmware that isn't compatible with your NAS.
What firmware are you running now?

It's not an ISO, and there is no point in trying to mount it as a virtual drive. If you had an OS-6 NAS (which you don't), you'd install the firmware from the ReadyNAS admin web ui.
