hello, i've tested air video oldest ver.(now on v2.4.63, ffmpeg v1.3)
on 2 different readynas 2100 v1, and works a bit different on ios then android
most of all the buffering happends either because the network speed is low between the device and router/Ap .. or the Cpu on NAS is slow. (the only fix for this is to reduce quality inside application on the device). Also take in consideration the ffmpeg version (i think the older ones work better not shure gonna continue testing).
as for the config file - this is how it looks like on mine:
path.ffmpeg = ./AirVideo/ffmpeg (i used to change paths just to test different versions)
path.mp4creator = /usr/local/bin/mp4creator
path.faac = /usr/local/bin/faac
password =
subtitles.encoding = windows-1250
subtitles.font = Verdana
folders = Media:/c/media/Videos, BitTorrent:/c/media/BitTorrent,
here is to help understand (i saw it was a lost of confusion) :
BitTorrent:/c/media/BitTorrent,--- here as example media is the main folder wich contains all the subfolders so logically if u want the server to read all the subfolders jus make'it Media:/c/media,
the first word b4 the : its the name u give to the folder u'r gonna share.
for me worked without rebooting the nas'es (if still not working what else can u do :), )
tested on ipad with latest pro airvideo version and free version.
tested on android with xplayer known as Mirage (discontinued dont know 4 what reason), tried to find a good free app to work with this server a long time but none of them worked.
there you go ..i hope it can be helpful 4 anyone.
a BIG Thanks 4 the developers.
