Help! Stream from NAS to iPad with AirVideo App?
Hi,
I just got my NAS set up and thought it would be great to wifi stream video to my iPad,
I installed the app on the pad but it asks me for a IP address (so I enter that of the NAS) it also asks for a port? what do i use?
I know doubt have got this all wrong and there's probably an easier way of streaming to the pad,
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and Happy new year to one and All.
Best Regards

- rpopescuAspirantUltra owner,4.2.16 and I'd love to get the AirVideo installed so I can spare my iMac... however, I don't have the mp4creator binary... Any ideas? Cheers!
- lchapuisAspirantfor "invalid" movies try :
* stop aivideo service
* go to /root/.air-video-server folder (with ssh)
* delete all thumbnails files (even empty folder)
* re start airvideo service
works for me - FrancemalianAspirantCan anyone post instructions or a newbie on how to change the directory references in readynas.properties for someone on OSX? I have enabled SSH, if that matters. Struggling to get Air Video running on my Ultra.

Tried it, it didn't work :( Still invalid files.
I uninstalled Air Video 2.0.0 and ffmpeg for Airvideo 2.0.00 and installed the stabil AirVideo 1.8.00 with ffmpeg but still the same result. Is there something else missing in NAS for Air Video to work maybe? - kurfuerAspirantHi,
had the same issue here showing only invalid files, but was able to fix it, at least for me :-)
This is the original ffmpeg path entry in the file /c/webroot/AirVideo/readynas.properties
path.ffmpeg = ./AirVideo/ffmpeg
This file is available in this directory, but nevertheless the ffmpeg plugin installed the ffmpeg to /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
So I changed the path entry to
path.ffmpeg = /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
and after a restart of the plugin I'm happy :D
Just for the records:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7973448 2010-10-29 22:35 /c/webroot/AirVideo/ffmpeg
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 8302976 2011-05-20 09:26 /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg - rpopescuAspirantHas anyone been able to locate the mp4creator binary that's required for off-line conversion? Thanks.

you should have same ffmpeg in both directory - kurfuerAspirantthe ffmpeg plugin installed the /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg, the AirVideo-Plugin installed the c/webroot/AirVideo/ffmpeg.
I installed ffmeg plugin first, then AirVideo plugin. Maybe this is the problem? - super_poussinVirtuoso
