Assuming a Windows PC ...
You can try this test:
- If you are using the default admin password (password) then change it to something else.
- Open CMD from Windows and then enter:
net use * /d /y
net use z: \\nas-ip-address\data /u:admin nas-admin-password
replacing "nas-ip-address" and "nas-admin-password" with the real values of course.
The second command should mount the full data volume as drive letter z.
If this test works, then you can try creating a user account on the NAS. Then enter the credentials (username and password) for the account in the Windows Credential manager.
After that you should be able to access the NAS with file explorer by entering \\nas-ip-address in the address bar. You can also map individual shares to drive letters. But mapping the full data volume requires using the NAS admin credentials.
