Missing MySQL extension
Hi
I have problems installing both Mysqladmin and Wordpress - they both complain about a missing MySQL extension. As far as I can see, the missing extension is installed, but something is clearly missing. Wordpress says "Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress" and MySQLAdmin says "Cannot load mysql extension. Please check your PHP configuration".
I have installed PHP 5.3.8 using the addon from http://readynasxtras.com
Any ideas?
Thanks

- WhoCares_MentorThat's why I wrote you should read the FAQ ;)
-Stefan - djrikkiAspirantConfigure PhpMyAdmin:
Allow logins without a password (localhost [1])
You allow for connecting to the server without a password. If you feel this is necessary, use additional protection settings - host authentication settings and trusted proxies list. However, IP-based protection may not be reliable if your IP belongs to an ISP where thousands of users, including you, are connected to.
OK done that, saved twice, same message.
Right... according to this FAQ I need a MySQL Add-On.. I thought this came with the PHP Add-On.

Will this work with PhpMyAdmin etc...?
I thought I read somewhere on ReadyNasExtras it doesn't work with 'SuperPoussin's' version. - WhoCares_MentorAs stated in the FAQ, PhpMyAdmin is a generic tool to administer different MySQL database that need not be located on the same machine. That's why it doesn't enable MySQL on the NAS it is running on - because that may not be what the user wants. The MySQLOn add-on from Super-Poussin deals only with starting/stopping the MySQL server, so it is safe to use. Problems may arise if you use the PHP add-on from Super-Poussin together with PhpMyAdmin.
