New Transmission add-on thread
The previous thread was very long time to open a new one and prepare the 2.0 :)

Is port 9099 forwarded to the NAS in your Virginmedia router?
If so, use http://www.canyouseeme.org/ (while at home) to see if your ISP is allowing that port.
Your company also might not be allowing this connection, so if you can try it from a public hotspot or a friend's house, that might help diagnose it.
It looks from the error that transmission itself might be limiting access to specific IP addresses (that is what a "whitelist" does). I don't use transmission, so I'm not familiar with the details of its settings. However, it is still useful to confirm that the port you are using is open.
