BTW can you simply start/stop CIFS service from frontview ?
Restarting CIFS was possible, but no results.
Shares.conf is there, but contains only the reference to addons-conf. Luckily, however, there is also a Shares.conf-sav which seems to contains all my shares, incl the specs per share.
Before I just do a straight copy from conf-sav -> conf, just to check: is this the way to proceed? Advisable to stop CIFS? - super_poussinVirtuosoyes copy the .sav to .conf and restart cifs
- rgakkerAspirantDone & solved ... Many thanks S-P. Any idea what happened?

Just had the same problem myself
Rebooting sorted things out *phew* - btaroliProdigyI applied 2.01b09 recently. I am finding (two days in a row now) that the mysterious change to the file ownership in /addons-config/Transmission/transmission-daemon is /still/ happening. I have no clue what the cause is, but I would very much enjoy if that stopped happening. :-) Any clues?
- btaroliProdigyOK. I decided to dig and found the culprit. /etc/cron.daily/blocklist
I modified the chown line and should now be free of this fun. :-)
What I also found interesting in reading that script is that I notice (a) that it runs to completion each day (obviously) and (b) the curl statement obviously doesn't block like the wget that I've been noticing...
About to try another experiment, related to another thread. :D :naskiller: - gothiAspirantI too lost my shares after an upgrade to Transmission 2.01. A restart of the Duo brought them back with an additional share that I assume Transmission had created: Webroot.
It looks like the missing shares, at least in my case, might be down to the code which adds this new share to the listing. - super_poussinVirtuosowill check again
- super_poussinVirtuosoproblem foudn and solved a new 2.01 is uploaded on server
