Plex Server Can't add Movies
Greetings,
I just installed in the new PlexServer Addon on my Ultra 6. I was able to add some TV Shows, and a couple of test movies. However, if I direct Plex to my directory of movies (mp4 and mkv files) it displays zero movies found. I checked the logs and there was an error with the scanner python script.
Any suggestions? I don't get this error with all the files. But I do get it with a fair number of them.
I installed the most recent version of Plex on my iMac and pointed it to the same movie files which were mounted over AFP and it worked flawlessly and read/found all the metadata. So I don't think that there is a problem with my files. Could a package be missing from the Plex Addon?
Thanks!

- sphardy1ApprenticeAs this error appears to be a Plex internal error, rather than due to the ReadyNAS installer may, I suggest that you log it at the forum specifically setup for reporting Plex for Linux bugs: https://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/fo ... for-linux/
- shockalotAspirantThanks for the suggestion sphardy.
I reposted my question at http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/26764-cant-add-movies-error-in-plex-movie-scannerpy/

The details are in the link to the Plex forum above. In summary on of my movies had an invalid character so it would error out. Have you tried scanning a folder with just one or two files? I would also rename any movies to get rid of special characters. For me it was "1/2" as just one character.
Good luck. I would check out the Plex forum.
