- Does anybody know, how to disable login Authentication ???
I have stoped the qBittorrent and edit the config.default file:
WebUI\Username=admin
WebUI\LocalHostAuth=false
WebUI\HTTPS\Enabled=false
but it did not solve the problem. - 6rilAspirantwhich version are you using? under which OS?
I'm using WebUI 2.9.8 on R6.0.4 (readyNAS104)
in options/WebUI there's a check box "Bypass authentication for localhost" I checked it but it still need login/pass : /-
can't help, sorry. - 6rilAspirantI think it's a good torrent client except for one very important feature MISSING:
There's no way to set the saving location of a torrent !!!!!! This is just the worst thing that can be missing !
by default, you set a saving location for ALL torrent -> useless.
luckily, there's the possibility to add several "watched folders" and to save the downloaded files in that folder.
But, it means that if you get a magnet link, you can use the watched folders so ALL magnet link will end up in the default (or set) saving location -> useless.
And it also means that you can't rename the folder/file you are downloading. And I need that a lot! If only to remove the crap from the folder name to be able to sort my downloads correctly.
The best way to handle ALL THIS is to have the possibility to set a saving location WHEN you add a torrent (as in utorrent).
And the least Qbittorrent should have is the possibility to change the location (a set location feature as in transmission) on a completed torrent.
All this is needed when you want to keep SEEDing after you put your downloads in final folder (videos in videos, music in music etc...) - My setup on qBittorrent v2.9.8:
Save files to location: /data/Bittorent
>Keep incomplete torrents in: /data/Qbittorrent/incomplete
Watched Folder: /data/Bittorent
>Copy .torrent files to: /data/Qbittorrent/resume
>Append .!qB extension to incomplete files
This all means, that I save downloaded torrent files to /data/Bittorent,
Files is then auto. loaded in to qBittorrent and moved to /data/Qbittorrent/resume location.
Added file is downloading in to /data/Qbittorrent/incomplete & when it is completed,
Is moved to /data/Bittorent
This is my temp. solution, becouse Transmission is even worse on 6.0.4 - 6rilAspirantthanks interested for replying,
but your setup doesn't allow you to move completed torrent to a specific folder and keep on seeding, right?
cause that's what is missing for me... - My spec. folder is /data/Bittorent
- 6rilAspiranthmmm. you don't understand.
you can not download a movie, and then move it to, let's say MyMovies, and keep seeding it from there... (and do the same in other folders like music etc... don't tell me that you can replace /data/Bittorent by /data/Mymovie !!! and put everything there)
do you understand ? - I have one folder for all things (movies, music, programs, ....) > /data/Bittorent & this is my spec. folder or location.
I did try to move the spec. folder & it works.
1. I open the Options in QbitTorrent
2. In Downloads, I changed the path to /data/Videos & save it
3. to be sure, I stoped the QbitTorrent App
4. then I copy one torrent file to my Watched Folder: /data/Bittorent
5. start the QbitTorrent app
6. I did see that torrent file disappeared in my Watched Folder /data/Bittorent
7. QbitTorrent started to download file
8. Completed file was moved from /data/Qbittorrent/incomplete to my new spec. folder /data/Videos
Basic things work ... for me. - 6rilAspirantyou don't understand what i'm talkin about, never mind... it's just not possible with qbit webui.
- U probably want to move downloaded files to the corresponding folder ...
I did see somewhere the script for Transmission.
Maybe user super-poussin can help us ???
