Readynas Remote agent unable to connect

Hello forum,

I am a new owner of Readynas Ultra 2, installed Readynas Remote agent Version 1.6.5.19 on a Windows XP PC and when trying to connect with the account I created, I get the following message:
"A connection to the server could not be established; this error may occur if you are on a network that uses a proxy server or if you have previously configured Leaf to use a proxy server and the proxy server has changed. Would you like to configure Readynas Remote to use a proxy to connect to the Internet?"

The issue is that I do not use proxy for internet access, I am just behind a TG585 router/AP. I had disabled windows firewall and antivirus but the problem persists.

Any recommendations?

  • There is a known issue to install Remote client on winXP OS,the issue is already submitted to the engineering department.
  • waiting for the engineering dpt, can you post a good old version please ? I don't have keep the .exe :-/
    the only version for windows XP is 1.6.5.19 (and not the 1.6.5.18 as written)

  • The same problem with Windows XP and readynas remote.
    With Windows Vista i can access but after few minutes working inside my folders the PC blocks. I only can unblock switching off the computer, not possible Ctrl+alt+supr (does not work).

    Waiting too for a new version or link...
