ReadyNas Remote Can't see shares

What I did was open readnas remote up and log in as admin, enable ftp and put the details into filezilla, and started to download a couple of videos to my laptop,
I then closed down readynas remote on the laptop it disconnected me from filezilla as well, I did a couple of reboots but filezilla cant connect to my nas if readynas remote isnt running.
