ReadyWOL
Hi, I have installed this add-ons but have some problems....
It's written
ReadyWOL. ReadyWOL implemts a way to wake up machines on your LAN by accessing a special URL on your ReadyNAS. After installation and (optional) configuration of a password for the service in the "Services->Installed Add-ons" section call "http://ip.of.your.nas/addons/READYWOL/WoL.pl?macx=&pass=" in your browser to check functionality.
My web browser can't find the page....
In fact, after installation I have under /etc/frontview/addons/ui/READYWOL the following files or folders : language,READYWOL_HANDLER.pl,READYWOL.html,READYWOL.js,READYWOL.xml,WoL.pl
and under /etc/frontview/addons/bin/READYWOL the following files or folders :
READYWOL_service,running.sh,start.sh,stop.sh
Because it's written call "http://ip.of.your.nas/addons/READYWOL/WoL.pl?macx=&pass=" means I must have a folder 'addons' ?
I have an 'addons-config' folder in which I have Transmission installation.
I have also an 'addons-scripts' in which I have DnsOMatic installation.
I DO NOT HAVE ANY FOLDER CALLED ADDONS.
I uninstalled and installed back the addon but nothing....ANY IDEA ?
PS: is the .pl extension a Perl script ? Do I have to install Perl on my nas ?

- Is ReadyWOL showing in, Addons > Installed > in frontview?
IP.OF.NAS/admin (enter admin and your password that you should have changed from netgear1) - michelefacciniAspirantI solved the problem....I didn't notice that I wrote http://ip.of.your.nas/addons/READYWOL/W ... acx=&pass= instead of http://ip.of.your.nas/addons/READYWoL/W ... acx=&pass=
- michelefacciniAspirantI tested this add-on both from my home network and from 'outside' (putting what was my ip at that moment)...both tests ok (my desktop pc had been waken up successfully). How can I manage from a php script line to launch the WoL.pl file (which is under the folder /etc/frontview/addons/ui/READYWOL)which results to be not accessible from my web site ?
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI'm not sure what you are wanting to achieve. If all you want to do is manually wake up a device, it is probably simpler to bookmark the URL (using the ddns name bound to your external IP address).
If you want a php GUI WoL add-on (perhaps as a starting point) you might look here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=37594 - michelefacciniAspirantStephenB,.....I have never received such a quick answer....thanks a lot...I'm going to try....Bye
- michelefacciniAspirantOk....I adapted the script to my needs...and most of all...it works like a charm.....now I have to set the last step to have my phpvirtualbox completely automatic.....look at http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=69608....
