Remote for Windows Phone
I'd like to see an app for Windows Phone.
Are there plans to develop?
Can I help develop, or maybe someone would like to help me to develop the app?
Please reply to let Netgear know that there's demand for this!

With the release of a few Window 8 handsets now, how long do you think we will have to wait for a Windows 8 Phone version of Ready Nas remote?
I personally have the Nokia Lumia 920, loving the phone, I was on Android form the G1 :), and like Android when 1st released it will take sometime for the Window Phone to get all its apps.
I would like to think that Netgear wont take too long realising a version for us :P.
Come on people over post show an interest, over 100 views and I'm the 2nd post!!
Happy Christmas to all - fpilleronAspiranta quand readynas remote pour windows 8?

- moxi58AspirantI have owned an HTC 8X for 1,5 month now and I am very pleased with the phone and OS; in my opinion is the best ever made. The only thing missing is more Apps. So I hope Netgear is working on this issue.
- vrsInitiateAs a Director of IT for and Systems Engineer I find it a bit incredulous that NetGear would develop ReadyNAS Remote clients for Android, iOS and Windows desktop OS’s and not have this key component available for Windows Phone 8.
I have for decades managed IT systems for up to 6000 users, and as most corporate offices in the world went with Microsoft based server platforms once their server OS matured. Microsoft is on the desks of 90 percent of the world and NetGear cannot see the 200 pound gorilla in the room! The Windows 8 phone is slow out of the gate but I will tell you their new ecosystem will catch traction in the market, including the Phone8.
The ReadyNAS 102 is actually the first time I have bought into NetGear products and it is for my home office. I bought it based on advance spec, price point and the rich feature set it promises. I was, I am sure one of the very first to own the released product. I am living on your “bleeding edge” new technology and have been working with your tech group on a number of issues. The box has some issues, yet great promise.
I am not afraid of a little bleeding edge technology as long as the developer is dedicated to their product and will see through the implementation of their vision.
I have dove into the deep end of the pool with the new Microsoft ecosystem (at home) as a test bed for future corporate tech path implementation. I can tell you that Microsoft has a winner on their hands, a fluid system that that will bring the integration of data that we once only dreamt of in our IT offices, and Windows Phone 8 is a BIG part of that equation.
I trust that NetGear can see the light and get on the bandwagon and bring the support to your excellent product line for the New Microsoft vision. I would love to recommend to our offices in the future implementation of your products, but will not, cannot unless you support the system that is the future.
Good luck with your new line and hopefully your development, corporate, and bean counters team will notice the 200 hundred pound gorilla in the room and take note.
“One, you can miss very salient things, like a gorilla walking right in front of you, and two, that you’re shocked that you could miss it. Most people seem to have the intuitive idea that they’re going to see this kind of thing and they’re really surprised when they find out that they don’t.” Quoted from "The Invisible Gorilla and Other Ways Our Intuitions Deceive Us," - tomgreeleyInitiateI definitely agree that Netgear should be releasing remote for windows phone. Come on Netgear the people have spoken.
- SpaceDokTutorHere also a ReadyNAS fan eagerly waiting for the WP8 app :)
- David925AspirantIt appears that the weak link in mobile access for this and other missing apps is the windows phone. Pity. Any news on these year old requests, please? Update from NetGear appreciated.
- JarnoGGuideI'm really interested in a Windows Phone 8 and a Windows RT app. Are there any updates on these?
