[REQ] Tvheadend

Tvheadend is a lightweight TV streaming server for Linux supporting DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-C, DVB-T, ATSC, IPTV, and Analog video (V4L) as input sources. It can use either a tv-tuner directly connected to the device being used or a tv-tuner on another device via the network. It would also need video4linux to work.

I've been using this on my HTPC, but it would be awesome if the Readynas Duo could be used as a PVR. It has been reported to work on router, so my guess is it would also work on the ReadyNas Duo.

  • *Bump*

Would also love to be able to use this, even if it ends up only being on the x86 readyNAS's.
  • Same here, would be the best add-on ever. And it does work on a Readynas, see http://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/boards/5/topics/1889

I asked this person who got it to work if he could let me know how to install it or if he could make an add-on, but no reply.

Readynas + Plex + TVHeadend would be the ultimate media server!!!!! Pleaeaeaeaease somebody make this add-on
  • +1 for this, it would be awesome if an NV+ could run TVheadend. Not sure if its got enough power though.
