What happens if you power up with no disks at all?
- do you see any LEDs light?
- does RAIDar find the NAS and give you a "no disks" status"?
No, RAIDar does not pick anything up
Only Power LED with hdd's out
Power & Act LED's with hdd's in

Not a good sign, as it normally will find the NAS when it is diskless.
Did you successfully use RAIDar before this issue?
No, never had the need.
This issue only occured after the firmware update
