RSYNC over SSH ports
I am waiting on my second Duo for off site Rsync over SSH. I will do a local initial back up but after that it will be small incremental back ups so speed is not an issue. I have set up my dyndns ...

Rsync over SSH is what is used for Rsync over SSH. Rsync over SSH can be enabled using a 3rd party add-on on the Duo (v1) [there's no add-on available for the v2 to enable Rsync over SSH] but it is not supported and performance may be unbearably slow.
To access the actual files it depends on the backup it depends what protocol you want to use.
To access the actual files on the backup to see what's copied successfully you could simply use ReadyNAS Remote: http://www.readynas.com/remote
